  • Learn the following to enhance your skills as a wireless engineer:
    • How to obtain Qualcomm software tools.
    • How to manage the connection of a Qualcomm based device using QUTS.
    • How to interact with the phone’s internal NV memory, extended file system, etc., using PCAT.
    • How to collect network air interface logs with QXDM5.
    • How to postprocess the collected logs and enhance the log analysis with QCAT.
  • Dive deep into Qualcomm Software tools to manage, configure, and interact with Qualcomm based devices using Qualcomm Unified Tools Service (QUTS) and Product Configuration Assistant Tool (PCAT)
  • Collect log files from a Network’s Air Interface Network using Qualcomm Extensible Diagnostic Monitor 5 (QxDM5)
  • Complement the postprocessing of these log files with Qualcomm Commercial Analysis Toolkit (QCAT).

 

Prerequisites:

  • You are a Network Engineer, System Engineer, RF Engineer, and/or Field Engineer.
  • This course is only available for QXDM licensees.

 

Objectives:

  • Identify entry point for Qualcomm Software Tools catalog.
  • Describe device identification with QUTS.
  • Explain the different applications to manage and configure a Qualcomm device using PCAT such as: changing NV items, crash dump collection, EFS explorer, QCN operations, etc.
  • Explore the different report types available in QCAT for log file postprocessing.
  • Describe other features available in QCAT to enhance the log file postprocessing such as: custom analyzers definition, time window filtering, PCAP export, bookmarks, etc.
  • Explain how to collect a log file with QXDM5 with default or custom Logmask.
  • Describe how to define a custom Logmask.
  • Identify the different views available in QXDM5.
  • Describe other features available in QXDM5 such as data protocol logging, internal GPS, etc.
